Pattern Development

CRELA is pleased to work with Pattern Energy Group LP (Pattern Development). They are a leader in developing renewable energy and transmission assets. Pattern Development has a global footprint spanning North & South America, the Caribbean, & Japan. Our highly-experienced team has brought more that 4,500 MW of capacity to market.

Additionally to a solar and wind energy pipeline, Pattern is developing transmission projects. These include the Southern Gross Transmission. Pattern’s team conceived, permitted, financed, developed and managed the Trans Bay Cable project. This was in the San Francisco Bay area. The project is a 400 MW HVDC submarine cable that carries 40% of the northern peninsula’s peak load.

Pattern’s experience gives them a unique position in the FERC Order 1000 project. They’re one of the few teams that completed the development of an independent transmission line in the U.S.

We have earned our position as an industry leader. We’ve done this by combining creativity, focus and a scientific approach. Pattern also has experience in resource analysis, site development, power marketing, finance, construction, operations and asset management. As a result, our team’s history shows consistent groundbreaking work.

The headquarters of Pattern Development is located in San Francisco. We also have offices in Houston, San Diego, New York, Toronto, Santiago, Mexico City & Tokyo.

The SunZia Project consists of 2 bi-directional extra-high voltage transmission lines and substations. These transport energy from Arizona and New Mexico to customers across the Desert Southwest.

SunZia’s total transmission capacity has an approved rating from the Western Electricity Coordinating Council of 3,000 MW for 2 single-circuit 500 kV AC lines. SunZia is solely an electric transmission project. It is not a power generation facility.

Farmers’ Electric Cooperative is an independent, locally-owned business. As a member you own part of this business and share responsibility for the success or failure of the Co-op. Farmers’ Electric is a non-profit organization. We don’t have a group of investors, who are not our customers, deciding what will yield the most profit.

In short, you receive electricity at the cost of providing that service to your home or business. Farmer’s Electric is a non-profit organization, so we’re required by law to return profits to our members. This is above and beyond the cost of providing electricity. These profits get assigned to members through capital credit allocations. Your share gets determined by how much you spend with us for electricity. We refund back to you as financial conditions permit.
