Understand Your Rights!
CRELA wants landowners to know their rights. We offer classes to teach landowners the how to work with developers and what to expect from a renewable energy source located on their property.
Also, as a land owner, it is important to stay current and involved in private property issues and concerns. A larger voice is often helpful. While protection of our water, the land, species and environment is important, some proposed legislation simply does not make sense. What is proposed in Washington D.C. or at the state capitol may make sense in one area of the country but makes absolutely no sense in other areas and can result in unrealistic difficulty in compliance and unfair penalties. Membership in CRELA is an investment in your future; both by assisting in providing a new additional revenue stream and by protecting your private property rights.
What About Preserved Habitats?
We are concerned and interested in endangered species and want to see reasonable plans that work to preserve the habitat , but that does not overstep or harm the landowner. We offer speakers on this issue at our annual and regional meetings and email information to landowners concerning new issues and developments.
