The Lesser Prairie Chicken is back in the news again. We at the CRELA organization suggest our members respond and seek an extension of the comment period from US Fish and Wildlife Service that is proposing to list the Lesser Prairie Chicken under the Endangered Species Act. This period currently ends on August 2nd. Our last opportunity to voice our concerns is at this public comment session that will be held on July 14, 2021 from 5pm to 6pm CT. That will be followed by a public hearing from 6:30pm to 8:30pm the same night. To register for this hearing, please visit:

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on Thursday finalized rules that change how the federal agency manages the endangered Mexican wolf.

The changes temporarily restrict who can relocate or lethally remove “problem wolves” or packs.
